A few of my friends are serial daters... and I just don't get it. Sometimes I think they are just dating the person they are with so they won't be alone. Take for example one of my friends; he just broke up with his FIANCE about 3 weeks ago and he is with someone new already. And not just casually dating someone new but put the boyfriend/girlfriend label on it already too.
How does that happen??
I've seen him do this quite a few times over the last few years too.
Another friend of mine divorced from his wife last August after being together for 7 years and was instantly dating someone new (that he just met) with in a month or so. They became one of those "we" couples right away. (don't get me started on "we" couples... ugh...).
What's the rush? Why do they need to be in a relationship at all times?
Or maybe my actual question is how is it that they can go from relationship to relationship with out even questioning it but I haven't found someone I want to call my boyfriend over the last 4 years??

i do not understand the people that ALWAYS have to be in a relationship. i think its just they are scared of being alone... but it just doesnt seem right.
are they just not that commited in any relationship so its not a big deal to them... hmm.
Single life is GREAT! No hassles except what you create yourself. You don['t have to clean up after anyone else, or answer to anyone else. You can do whatever you want at whatever time of day you feel like it...relationships aren't all theyr'e cracked up to be. Just married people want to encourage others so they can commisurate with someone. How many couples do you ever look at and wish you had what they had?...not many i bet. Enjoy your single life, great to be in control of your own life.
I've also always wondered how people can do this. I've always needed to take some time after a relationship to regroup. I think I've grown, and learnt the most when I've been single. By no means do I think it applies to everyone, but I think some people use relationships to avoid dealing with their issues.
